Hi, I have an Alix board that I'm using with Openrc.  Boot times are 
"decent", but right now the dependency calculation is chewing about 6 
seconds of boot time and by far the biggest boot time consumer.  The 
standard Alix board doesn't have a cmos battery so the dependency cache 
function of openrc doesn't operate (at least without some modifications 
to force it) because the date is always wrong

Roy, can you comment on whether it's worth me digging in to look at 
optimising the dependency calculation or if it's not likely to be a 
fruitful effort?  (ie "rc-update -u")
