Hello,

I have embedded device that uses fallback static IP when DHCP server is not
available. This works as expected but I would like to know if there is any
mechanism how to handle situation when eg. after power loss DHCP server
boots slower that my device.

I just faced this situation on one site and all devices had to be manually
rebooted. Of course I can prepare some cron script to renew the lease after
some period of time but maybe there already exists some cleaner solution?
