Hello,

I'm not sure who should be addressing it.

The issue is following, there are multiple APs with single SSID.
Wpa_supplicant does background scans and jumps in between APs upon
smallest disturbance, causing great inconvenience for me

bgscan option does not seem to work at all it seems in 2.8.

Mr. Marples, do you know how WPA supplicant chooses to jump from one
AP to another, and if dhcpcd can homewhat control the behaviour
previously governed by the bgscan option?
