Works perfectly now, just an weird error message remains:
✘ baybal@xps ~/dhcpcd-ui master sudo /etc/init.d/net.wlan0 restart
net.wlan0 | * Bringing down interface wlan0
net.wlan0 | * Stopping wpa_cli on wlan0 ...
[ ok ]
net.wlan0 | * Stopping wpa_supplicant on wlan0 ...
[ ok ]
net.wlan0 |RTNETLINK answers: No such file or directory
net.wlan0 |Error talking to the kernel
net.wlan0 | * Bringing up interface wlan0

net.wlan0 | * Starting wpa_cli on wlan0 ...
