I found out this pretty tool for configuring WiFi networks and I would
like to use the DHCPCD-GTK with Debian 9. I have installed Openbox GUI
and tint2 panel.
When I start the dhcpcd-gtk, the tray icon appears. When I move over it
with mouse tooltip, the information about eth0 and wlan0 connected is
displayed. When pressing the right button the Preferences menu appears.
But nothing happens when pressing the left button on the icon. No list
of discovered WiFi networks is shown.
There is no error log or any other information that would help me to
resolve this problem.
Do you have any idea what is the problem?
Sounds like dhcpcd-ui can't talk to wpa_supplicant.
Is wpa_supplicant running? And it's is ctrl socket available to talk to?
The socket should be found in /var/run/wpa_supplicant/wlan0
