I don't recall seeing any similar reports on the mailing list archive,
so I'm sorry to bother you all if this has been corrected in a more
recent release.

On system boot, dhcpcd will correctly assign the interface and IP
address, but then crashes before /etc/resolv.conf can be written. I then
have to restart dhcpcd manually. /etc/resolv.conf is then correctly
written and dhcpcd will run fine until lease renewal time, at which
point I'll need to manually restart it again. I'm attaching log files
and backtraces which I believe to be relevant.

Plenty of OpenBSD fixes have gone into dhcpcd-7 and dhcpcd-7.0.0-rc4 should work fine on OpenBSD-6.2 without any patches. However, my testing is strictly limited to running OpenBSD in a VM which may not be entirely reflective of the real world.

I don't recall any specific patch which would address that backtrace though so I'm only able to advise trying the most recent rc.
