dhcpcd-discuss

My current, albeit limited, understanding is that DTAG won't assign the same prefix after link reset, even if you offer them the old one. The rationale might be that the prefix immediately gets returned to the prefix pool on link down.

Hi Roy,

I have a question about the tcpdump of the dhcp6 traffic after
the pppoe reset: Does dhcpcd include all necessary information
in his renew or rebind requests to enable Deutsche Telekom to
give me the old delegated prefix back?
