Your existing config will work fine.
However, the files (except for dhcpcd.conf) have moved around for dhcpcd-7. The ebuild should take care of it moving to dhcpcd-7, dhcpcd-9999 but not the other way. But it should not be of huge impact moving back to dhcpcd-6, but dhcpcd-7 is proving very stable.
