I'm not familiar with strace.
My understanding is that is shows system calls, so maybe not too useful.

A backtrace from gdb or valgrind output is what I'm more used to seeing.

I tested the trunk and the issue is resolved. I did not see any segfault, but I also don't use ipv4ll (noipv4ll).
