Awesome! Here is the actual error.

May 24 22:58:54 ppp0: using static address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/8
May 24 22:58:54 ppp0: deleting IP address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/32

This exposed a bug in a recent change I made to fix static subnets.

I've made comitted a sequence of fixes to address this, so if you emerge
a new dhcpcd-9999 ebuild hopefully you can confirm it's now working!
