It did, but it timed out!
When I work on dhcpcd, 99% of the time it's in the foreground .... and I 
forgot to add the code to make it background.
I've quickly added this, but don't have time to test it until Monday .... 
hopefully you can.

If you can send me a full tcpdump -s0 of the failing transaction I can look.
It might be a dhcpcd bug, or an issue with your router.
