I didn't know E19 forces systemd.
GNOME3 "forces" it as well, but it exists within the various BSD ports
trees where the target OS lacks systemd itself and it does seem to work.
Maybe E20 can be coerced in the same way.

I have no plans on using systemd either because I believe in >1 OS and
actively work on NetBSD and try to ensure my code works on other BSD's.
dhcpcd itself now works on QNX for example ;)
