Howdy,

Had to leave this a lone for a couple days because of life nonsense. 
Back on this topic now. 8-)

I was running into a stupid integration problem with gentoo and the 
startup scripts. There was no way to pass the empty script value -- e.g. 
"" -- reliably through the openrc system.

I finally settled on "--script /dev/null" which solved my problems.

I'll be fetching from fossil and trying the new patches out.
