Setuid helper issue

When I run dhcpcd-gtk via xterm, I get the following response:

** (dhcpcd-gtk:1650): CRITICAL **: libdhcpcd: GetVersion: The
permission of the setuid helper is not correct

I was under the impression that libdhcpcd is a shared/static library,
but it is nowhere to be found on the system.

How can I fix this issue?
