dhcpcd-4.0.8, 4.99.12 available

Mon Jan 26 13:44:29 2009Hi List dhcpcd-4.0.8 and 4.99.12 are now available. Both now send a short hostname (hostname -s output). This is a change in the default behavior which allowed full or partial FQDN hostnames in strict accordance to RFC2132. This change is because some DHCP servers really don't like FQDN in the hostname option when updating DNS. So if you need FQDN, then please use the FQDN option. After all, that's what it's there for ;) Other than that, 4.0.8 has some fixes since the last version - nohook 20-resolv.conf now works (nohook resolv.conf still works). Renew times are no longer defaulted when there is no rebind time. The broadcast address is correctly exported to the environment. Thanks Roy
